Tips for your newborn photography session
One of the questions I get asked most is how best to prepare for your newborn session. What do you need to bring? What do I provide?
First off, if you are doing a studio session in our downtown Raleigh studio, we have a large selection of props, wraps, headbands, hats etc to use there.
You don't need to bring anything unless there is a special prop or outfit you have that you'd like to incorporate in to some pictures!
On the day of your session try to keep baby awake a bit before the session time. Then feed baby as much as possible right before you leave to come here. Our goal is for baby to be full and sleepy when we get started!
All you really need to bring is whatever you need to feed baby in case they get hungry during the session. And, if you have a pacifier, please bring it along as it can help settle baby in to a pose.
The biggest thing to remember is not to stress - I've been doing newborn sessions for 12 years and have seen it all! I have a lot of practice in getting babies to sleep so don't worry if you little one will cooperate - we will make it work :)
